Parallel Parables was born from the imagination of an idea. The idea of a world only slightly different from our own, where one minor change in human history reshaped its natural course for all future generations.
That concept serves as the pillar of the work we do. We desire to see written work produced that challenges mind and reaches hearts.
This Press exists to meet the editing and publishing needs of independent authors, especially those who write Kingdom stories and uplifting content.
Written language is a powerful form of media supported by centuries of innovation, ideation and diverse expression. May we add to and build on the foundations of those before us and create works and worlds that change the lives of our readers.
With over 15 years serving university students, poets, playwrights, fiction and non-fiction authors, we're prepared to meet authors anywhere along the journey from the idea stage to publication or independent publishing.
We strive to produce work of professional quality that meets and exceeds industry standards. As the Press wholly owned and operated by people of colour, we strive to create an inclusive space for creative POCs.
It is our long-term endeavour to promote and champion literacy, especially among POC and primarily in Jamaica and the GTA in Ontario.
